Project 1: Precedent Studies
Project 1 is about understanding the Modern Masters of Architecture in the West. In a group of 5, we were required to conduct a research on the Modern Masters and assigned specific buildings. For our group, we were assigned Villa Tugendhat by Mies Van Der Rohe. The submission requirement is a presentation board that includes general information, concept and the architectural details in the form of plan, elevation, section, perspective and short annotations which were all manually done. We used computers to compose the layout. As for individual submissions, each member of the group was required to submit A4 analytical sketches on one chosen aspect of the building. The component I did was massing and form.
