Project : Case Study Identifying innovative passive design strategies
This project required us to choose a building that best features 2 passive design strategy for tropical climate. The building chosen is Rhombus located along Jalan Penaga and nestled in the Klang Valley’s premier lifestyle hub of Bangsar. We were to identify natural ventilation and shading devices. The submission required us to compile 2A3 paper research poster.
From this project we were able to identify environmental conditions related to site conditions and climate. Also, we learnt to explain the effects of the sun on the thermal performance of buildings with the aid of computer software like Revit. The knowlege is helpful for us in continuing architectural studio design as we acquired better understanding in passive design.
