Project 1:

Skeletal Construction “A Shelter For One” 

 

In a group of 6, we were required to construct a 1:1 sheter based on our knowledge on skeletal construction. The shelter has to be able to resist prescribed strength and fucntion as a shelter for one. The connections used to join the structure play a big role in making sure the whole shelter is strong and stable enough.

 

Throughout the project I've gained a better understanding of skeletal construction as well as types of connections of timber. Also, I leanrned how to construct a 1:1 timber structure with the aid of tools.
